Gender—Is It a Social Construct?

Yesterday we learned there is lots of confusion in our culture regarding marriage. Well, there is just as much confusion now about gender. Many view gender as nothing more than a social construct that can be changed. If someone feels they are a man, they must be; and if someone feels they are a woman, they should be encouraged to live that way—even if he or she was born the opposite sex!

But we don’t need to get caught up in the confusion of our day. Scripture is clear—God created male and female. There are only two genders.

But because we live in a sin-cursed world, there will be people who suffer from gender issues. They need our compassion, but also the truth found in God’s Word.
