Since the US Supreme Court decision to legalize abortion in 1973, over 58 million babies have been violently murdered in their mother’s womb.
Some professing Christians argue the Bible doesn’t mention abortion, so we shouldn’t have a problem with it. But the Bible does mention abortion—it says, “do not murder.” Scientifically and biblically, life begins at fertilization. All the information needed for that baby to grow is there—nothing new is added. Taking that life is murder.
Scripture is full of commands to defend the voiceless, like orphans and widows. It is God’s character—and it should be the character of His people—to defend the precious lives he has knit together in the womb.
