Many scientists claim the fossil record shows five mass extinctions in the past. They say the fossils we see in distinct layers represent different time periods, separated by millions of years. But the global Flood described in Genesis gives a better explanation for what we see!

As the waters of the Flood rose, they ripped up and redeposited miles of sediment. They buried organisms between layers. These waters buried different environments one at a time, starting with the ocean floor, and then moving up over the continents.

So the rock layers and fossils don’t represent different times—they show different environments living at the same time. And they were catastrophically buried by Noah’s Flood.
