God’s Word—It’s Our Authority

Many Christians don’t think the question of the age of the earth matters. They wonder, “Why should we care if God created in six days or millions of years? After all, He’s God—He can do anything!

Well, God can do anything. But what matters isn’t what He could have done—it’s what He did. And the Bible clearly tells us how God created and when. Genesis makes it plain that He created everything in 6 literal 24-hour days. And in Exodus we read, “For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them.”

How and when God created, matters, because it is ultimately an authority issue. Will we trust man’s ever-changing, fallible opinions, or God’s Word?
