From Groundhogs to Gospel

Today is Groundhog Day in America. Supposedly if the groundhog sees his shadow today, the eastern part of the country is in for another six weeks of winter.

Well, this is a silly idea and few people take it seriously. But did you know you can use it to share the gospel?

You see, we can talk about how we serve a God who isn’t bound or controlled by what happens here on earth. He is sovereign over everything!

And this same God . . . who upholds the universe . . . wants a personal relationship with us. We can know Him because He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place so we can have eternal life through faith in Jesus.

Yes, we can start with something silly in our culture, like Groundhog Day, and share our faith with those around us.
