Did Marriage Evolve?

According to the evolutionary worldview, everything is a product of evolution, including marriage. In this view, marriage can continue to evolve to be whatever we as a society want it to be. It is this thinking that is behind the redefinition of marriage across the West.

But marriage didn’t evolve! God’s Word gives us the real origin of marriage. God created mankind, male and female, and brought them together in the first marriage. It isn’t a societal, or governmental, institution. God invented marriage. It is His institution.

We don’t have the right to change and redefine what God has created. He designed marriage to be between a man and a woman for life—that is the definition of marriage.
