Now Did God Evolve?

It is a popular idea that God is just the product of human evolution. Now the story goes that as we evolved, it was helpful—in an evolutionary sense—for us to invent a divine being. This supposedly explains why every culture throughout history has some concept of a god or gods.

Well, the Bible gives us the correct view. We are all descendants of Adam and Eve—people who talked with God. After the global Flood, Noah’s descendants took this knowledge of God with them as they spread around the earth. Sadly, sin perverted this knowledge—and now many people worship false gods.

The Bible also tells us God has put knowledge of Himself in all hearts. Everyone knows there is God, and He calls all to repent.
