Transcript

It is popular to consider the tailbone as a leftover from our supposed evolutionary past.

See, early in the womb, unborn babies have what appears to be a “tail.” But this so-called “tail” develops into the “tailbone” or “coccyx.”

Now, the coccyx is a very important part of our body! Without it, we can’t sit, stand, or lie down! In fact, here is an experiment, but don’t try it: fall down and land hard on your tailbone. Still think it is useless? No!

The muscles of the pelvis attach to this bone. It forms a sling to keep our pelvic organs in the right places. Without this bone, we couldn’t have an upright lifestyle.

We have been amazingly designed by our Creator. There is nothing leftover about our body.
