Why Does It Hurt So Much?

Many moms want to know: why does childbirth hurt so much? Well, according to evolutionists, it is because we evolved upright walking and bigger brains. Apparently our big heads have a harder time getting through the birth canal.

But God’s Word gives us the real answer to why childbirth is so painful. When Adam and Eve sinned, God cursed His once “very good” creation. And part of the Curse on the woman was that she would have pain in child-bearing.

Now, it wasn’t originally supposed to be this way! The pain of childbirth reminds us of the Curse. But as we experience the new life that comes into the world through birth, we should be reminded of the new life we have through Christ.
