During the Flood of Noah’s day, the highest hills were covered as the water completely flooded the earth. But how high were these hills?

Well, the water didn’t have to cover Mt. Everest or even the Rocky Mountains. You see, most of the mountain ranges we have today were formed during and after the Flood. Now as continental plates were ripped apart and rearranged, they smashed into one another and mountain ranges were formed.

We know this partly because rock layers filled with fossils, including sea creatures, are found at the tops of these mountains. Since there was no death before the Fall, these can’t be original creation mountains. The layers and fossils were laid down during the Flood.
