Many Christians are shocked by how quickly our culture has embraced so-called gay “marriage” and transgender behavior. But really, this shouldn’t come as a surprise.

You see, Western culture by and large has replaced God’s Word with man’s word. Instead of starting with God’s Word, our culture is doing whatever is right in its own eyes.

When reaching out to those who embrace gay unions and transgender behavior, recognize there is a difference of foundation. Help them to understand that you start with God’s Word.

Since God is our Creator, He alone has the right to tell us what to do. And He has given us a firm foundation for morality, marriage, and gender in the absolute authority of the Bible.
