Kids are naturally full of questions. They ask “why” about almost everything! Now, in my coauthored book Already Gone, I discuss some reasons why two-thirds of young people are leaving the church. And one of the main reasons was the questions they had about the Bible that were never answered. And these doubts and questions often start as early as middle school!

As parents, we need to be equipped to answer our kids’ questions about God’s Word. Encourage them to ask questions, and prepare yourself to give answers that affirm the truth of God’s Word. And always point them back to the Bible as the starting point for all their thinking. Show them that they can trust God’s Word from the beginning.
