The number of days during which Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection.
“He presented himself alive to [his disciples] after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God” (Acts 1:3).
Some have said the disciples made up the story of Jesus’ resurrection. However, the disciples knew Jesus rose from the dead because they saw him with their own eyes. As Peter said, “We did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty” (2 Peter 1:16).
Peter was even willing to die for what he knew to be true, and he was crucified upside down for telling people about Jesus. No one would die for something he knew to be a lie.
These special cards detail evidences of Jesus' resurrection.
