Impacting 9,000 Students and Faculty
I praise the Lord for the honor and privilege of speaking to 9,000 students and faculty at Liberty University recently. It was such a blessing to be able to share the foundational importance of Genesis to our biblical worldview and the gospel message, along with an emphasis on biblical authority, with them.
The founder of Liberty University, the late Dr. Jerry Falwell, loved the AiG ministry and organized for the university to grant me an honorary doctorate on May 7, 2004. Dr. Falwell visited the Creation Museum not long before it opened in early 2007, the year he went to his heavenly home. He was so excited and told me he wanted all Liberty students to visit this attraction.
Jerry’s son, Jonathon Falwell, is now the chancellor of the university. The president is Dondi E. Costin. I want to thank both of them for their trust in me and our ministry and for the invitation to speak in chapel. (Here is the article the school wrote regarding the content of my talk.)
I will be coming back to Lynchburg, VA, later in the year to speak at Thomas Road Baptist Church where Rev. Jonathon Falwell is the senior pastor. If you’re in the area, be sure to make plans to attend and bring others with you.
