Are Israel’s Conflicts a Sign of the End Times?

Whenever I post on social media about military conflict in our fallen world or some new form of depravity on display, someone inevitably comments and says it’s a sure sign that we’re living in the end times and Jesus is returning soon. But is it? Can we know if these are indeed the end times?

Instead of being obsessed over whether or not we’re in the end times (even though we’ve been in the last days since Jesus ascended to heaven), let’s focus on what Jesus told us to do while we wait: engage in his business until he returns (Luke 19:13), primarily:

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19–20)
