I recently posted something controversial on YouTube. Well, I didn’t really think it was controversial, but apparently some do! I asked, “Which book of the Bible is more important: Genesis or Revelation?”
Now, of course, as I said in the video, both are important because every book in the Bible is important! But in my decades of ministry, I’ve noticed that many Christians love talking about the end times and debating how to interpret Revelation but they ignore (or compromise) Genesis, especially the early chapters, refusing to take a stand because origins is too “controversial.” But when it comes to our worldview, it’s vital we start with Genesis because Genesis is the foundation for all doctrine; for our Christian worldview; for the gospel; and, well, for everything!
Here’s how I explained it in this short video:
Yes, all Scripture is breathed out by God, and it’s all vital—but Christians can’t ignore Genesis!
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
