What an honor it was to personally show General Charlie Duke, the tenth and youngest astronaut to walk on the moon (back in April 1972), and his family through the Ark Encounter last week.
Oh, I did ask him, “What does the earth look like from the moon?” He replied, “A sphere spinning in space.” So, no, the earth isn’t flat!
General Duke and his wife have a Christian ministry, teaching on marriage—and they speak all over the world. General Duke also speaks at various conferences about his days as an astronaut and that famous walk on the moon. One of our granddaughters was thrilled to have her photograph taken with this famous astronaut.
We get all kinds of guests at the Ark Encounter—plan your visit at ArkEncounter.com.
And if your kids love learning about outer space, astronauts, and space exploration, I recommend a new book from AiG, Awesome Facts About Space. This colorful book is filled with fun facts that point children toward their Creator God. You can find this resource at AnswersBookstore.com.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
