New Torah Scroll Exhibit Opens at the Ark Encounter

What a great addition to the Ark Encounter exhibits!

The scroll is rolled out to display the entire book of Genesis and a portion of Exodus

As I mentioned, the new exhibit consists of a decommissioned Torah scroll (donated by those at God’s Ancient Library) and lots of great teaching signage and artifacts (or replicas of artifacts) relating to the translation and transmission of God’s written Word down through the ages. The scroll is rolled out to display the entire book of Genesis and a portion of Exodus (remember, you have to read it from right to left!). The display case itself is also a work of art and has special infrastructure for air circulation, humidity, keeping insects out, etc.

During your next visit to the Ark Encounter, be sure to check out this Torah scroll exhibit on the third deck—on the back wall of the popular Museum of the Bible exhibit and beside our Bible history timeline exhibit.
