The Ark Encounter isn’t allowed to be open right now, but that doesn’t mean people aren’t thinking about it and wishing they could be there! Whenever I post anything about the Ark or museum, the comments section is filled with remarks from individuals and families who sadly had to cancel their Ark trip because of the lockdowns—but are excited to come as soon as we’re opened back up. We can’t wait for the families to come flooding back in as soon as the government allows us to do so!
One family was inspired by our Kids Free 2020 ad (you can watch it below) which features a family of giraffes who come to the Ark. Here’s what they sent us:
Our family created a tower of giraffes for a sculpture art project during Covid19. My son decided to model his after the Ark Encounter giraffes. We thought you might enjoy seeing it! We are praying for AiG ministry.
Now, a “tower” is an actual term to describe a group of giraffes (seems appropriate!). I thought the family did a great job on their tower and you can definitely see the influence of the Ark Encounter’s artwork (as seen in the ad below) on the finished product.
I’ve had many people asking if, given the financial hardship of the current time, we’re still doing Kids Free 2020. Well, the answers is yes! Earlier this year, we stepped out in faith to offer kids 10 and under free admission through the whole year and we’re still committed to that. Hopefully it won’t be much longer before families—including thousands of kids—can come and visit our attractions and learn about the truth of God’s Word and the gospel.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
