I love being able to tell our supporters about other ministries that hold to the truth and authority of God’s Word and are working hard to equip the next generation to know and love it. And that’s why I’m excited to promote the National Bible Bee each year, an organization that is dedicated to filling the hearts and minds of young people with the Word of God.
Bible memorization not only helps them hide God’s Word in their hearts but also assists in learning how to properly read and study Scripture.
When many people think of the National Bible Bee, they think of the National Bible Bee Competition where hundreds of young people compete each year for the opportunity to win $100,000 in prize money (this year held in Northern Kentucky, not far from our Creation Museum). But that’s just the grand finale to what they do. It all begins with a Summer Study, where children ages 5–18 study and memorize selected portions of Scripture, either on their own or as part of a group.
Bible memorization not only helps them hide God’s Word in their hearts but also assists in learning how to properly read and study Scripture (a vital skill many people don’t have!). At the end of the study, participants quote Bible passages to their family and friends on Proclaim! Day. Those who are interested and qualify (ages 7 and up) can move on to the competition.
I encourage young people to sign up for this wonderful program. It’s a great way for youth to learn and love the Word of God. Find out more details and register today at BibleBee.org. If you make it to the finals in November at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, I invite you to include visiting the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in your plans.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
