One of Many Open Doors

In his letter to the church at Philadelphia, John wrote, “These things says He who is holy, He who is true, ‘He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens’: ‘I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it’” (Revelation 3:7–8).

The metaphor here is that of an “open door.” This is used a number of times in the Scripture and generally describes an invitation to carry the gospel message from one geographical area into another. What a privilege it is to consider the land of Thailand. Here is a relatively stable country, yet not without its internal strife and external disputes. Surrounded by less than friendly borders, the propagation of the gospel has taken root and seems to be flourishing.

Lord willing, the fall season of 2013 will see a full-blown creation conference taking place in one of the major centers there. The “door” appears to be opening, and this is an exciting prospect for us at Answers in Genesis. We hope not only to see a representation of people presenting the creation-gospel message from AiG, but also to hear and be blessed by the growing group of very capable and highly qualified speakers from Thailand and the surrounding area.

It may very well be that the Lord is opening a creation-gospel door. May the Lord of the harvest give us eyes to see the fields white with harvest.
