"The first time I went through the Creation Museum I cried"

I always enjoy receiving testimonies from people whose lives have been changed by visiting the Creation Museum. The following email came from a person who attended our Mega Conference in July:

Thank you for your ministry. The first time I went through the Creation Museum I cried. I come from a conservative Christian home, but no one as a science background. When I showed such a strong aptitude for science at a young age, they didn't know what to do with me. The only options they could think of for my future were nurse or HS teacher, and neither interested me. When I decided to "just" study Biology, many in my family saw no future for me if I wasn't going to teach HS. In college I met no one who believed in Creation and studied science. Other students from Christian homes, like me, "changed sides" very quickly once we got to college. I saw the contradictions in the textbooks (I am one of the rare students who actually read them cover to cover). I would notice that the "evidence" presented in the chapters for evolution would later be reversed in later chapters where they weren't specifically referring to evolution. And, when talking to other students, no one else saw it (but, they didn't actually read the text book either). It wasn't until my first visit to the Creation Museum that I saw scientists believe in Creation; I knew they were out there, I just didn't know where. And, now I look forward to finding my place and being a part of people who have a passion for God and a passion for science.

Praise God that the Creation Museum was used as a tool by God to confirm to this person the truth found in His Word! However, it is disheartening to see how many young people from Christian homes enter secular—and yes, even Christian—colleges (see Already Compromised for more details) and change their mind about the truth of the Bible concerning creation and Genesis. And for many of these young people, it doesn’t simply stop at not believing Genesis but rather makes them question and stop believing in the authority and truth of the entirety of God’s Word.

This emphasizes to me even more the importance of parents (myself included) taking an active role in the home to teach our children that God’s Word is true from the very first verse. The Creation Museum is a great place to start. And while you are here, check out the many resources we have that can help you equip your children at home to be battle-ready for the war on truth they will encounter in the world.
