Fans of Grammy Award-winning singer Steven Curtis Chapman can hear him in the most unusual of settings this Saturday evening, August 5. Chapman, a Kentucky native, will perform at the Ark Encounter themed attraction in Williamstown, Northern Kentucky, south of Cincinnati.
Chapman will be the first public Ark Encounter performer since the park’s grand opening last year. Over the course of his three-decade career, he has won five Grammys, 58 Dove awards, and one American Music Award. Chapman has sold nearly 11 million albums and has had numerous No. 1 radio hits, including “Live Out Loud,” “Love Take Me Over,” and “Speechless.”
Chapman stated, “I’m very excited to be coming to the Ark Encounter . . . to bring some music, tell some stories, and sing some songs together.”
The JJ Weeks Band will start the evening with several songs.
There are two tickets options for the 7:30 p.m. outdoor concert. For $75 at the gate or online, a guest can spend Saturday at the Ark Encounter and end the visit with the Chapman concert. The second option is a concert-only only ticket. Those tickets are $35 when purchased in advance or $45 at the gate. (A third option, VIP passes with dinner, are already sold out.) Parking is $10.
The Ark concert is rain (of, course) or shine. Outside camping chairs and blankets will be permitted, although no outside food or coolers will be allowed.
The backdrop for the concert and the centerpiece of the Ark Encounter park is a 510-foot-long Noah’s Ark. This summer several days have seen over 7,000 visitors. The Ark is located off I-75 at exit 154.

Located south of Cincinnati, the Ark Encounter is within a day’s drive of almost two thirds of America’s population. In addition to the full-scale Noah's Ark with three decks of world-class exhibits in over 120,000 square feet, the campus of the Ark Encounter theme park includes the Ararat Ridge Zoo (with petting zoo), zip lines, live entertainment, a 1,500-seat themed restaurant, and fair-trade shopping. The hours of operation and tickets are available at ArkEncounter.com/tickets. For information on AiG and its multiple outreaches, visit AnswersInGenesis.org.
