A Vacation Site Like No Other

There’s good news and bad. The good news is that summer vacation will be here before you know it; the bad news is that you still have to plan how best to spend your time away from home. But that’s where we come in.

In conjunction with the newest issue of Answers magazine, Answers in Genesis wants you to have a vacation experience that puts the emphasis on God and His creation. That’s why we’re announcing the launch of our Creation Vacations website, a place to discover some amazing destinations.

On Creation Vacations, we’ve compiled information on over 30 parks, museums, and natural wonders from around the world—complete with images, maps, links, and insider tips. Want to know the best time of the year to visit Yellowstone National Park in the United States or what exhibits are best for kids in London’s Natural History Museum? We’ve got you covered.

The site makes it easy to find the exact type of vacation you’re looking for, and you can search destinations based on location or category. If your family is interested in astronomy or animals, one click will give you a list from either type.

What makes Creation Vacations truly unique, however, is the biblical foundation. Deuteronomy 6:7 tells us we are to talk about God’s Word everywhere we go. Vacations should be no exception. Opportunities to see and explore God’s amazing creation abound, whether at a national park, a Christian-themed venue, or a natural history museum. Places with secular propaganda can easily be turned into learning opportunities as we learn to separate truth from error. With some preparation, you and your family can enjoy a purpose-filled vacation as you gain a better appreciation for the Creator who made all things.

What’s in Store for this Month?

Rather than introducing a new product this month, we have a new store feature to tell you about. Starting this month, the Answers Bookstore is offering “Live Help” as an alternative customer service support option.

Commonly known as instant messaging, our customer service representatives are now able to receive questions in real time and answer right away. For example, if you’re shopping and need assistance, you can click the blue “Live Help ONLINE” button (located near the top, right-hand corner of the page) and submit a question. A customer service representative will then come to your aid. Would you please send me a link that shows a “kid version” response to the question you address for adults: Creation: where’s the proof?

[Ken Ham’s] response is awesome for us “grown ups” but my son really needs the 10 yr. old version. He's dealing with cave men and evolution talk at school and I'm so grateful for his interest in clearly defending creationism.

Thanks for your question. We have some good news and bad news. While we don’t yet have a directly “translated” children’s version of that article on our website, we do have a new book series that contains answers to commonly asked questions by kids. It’s called the Answers Book for Kids. Volumes 1 and 2 have been out for several months, and Volumes 3 and 4 are just out! You can also buy all four together. Look for these titles to appear on our Kids website later this year—InSite will let you know when.

Each of the books contain 22 questions on different topics, broken down by categories:

• Volume 1: Creation and the Fall
• Volume 2: Dinosaurs and the Flood of Noah
• Volume 3: God and the Bible
• Volume 4: Sin, Salvation, and the Christian Life

Additionally, our Operation Space VBS teaches children about the centrality of God’s Word.

Finally, Carl Kerby’s latest book, Absotively, Posilutely is designed just for kids 8–14 years and is designed to train them in biblical thinking.
