Hey there, Creation Explorer!
Whew—it’s been a busy few months for us (and it’s not slowing down anytime soon—but more on that in future blog posts)! So, what have we been up to lately? Well, we wanted to share two exciting projects with you that we’ve been working on the past few months.
Did you know Schus Off! isn’t the only program Trevor and I produce? We’re also involved with a show on Answers TV called Building Blocks, where my friend Bryan Osborne and I (Avery) are teaching through the whole Bible for kids, with fun object lessons, games, and competitions along the way. Year 1 and Year 2 are already available, and they teach from Genesis through the Assyrian captivity of Israel (about 722 BC).
Year 3 will be available beginning in January 2023.
Now we’re working on Year 3 which finishes up the Old Testament and teaches through the second year of Jesus’ earthly ministry. Bryan and I filmed the program together in August, with “producer Trevor” (who is a volunteer with AiG) and members of Answers in Genesis’ AV team doing the filming. Since then, Trevor has been working on editing all the footage into 34 episodes for Answers TV. So that’s keeping him very busy right now!
Year 3 will be available beginning in January 2023.
In a blog post a few weeks ago, we teased at a special adventure we went on this summer and that we’d be sharing more about it with you. And we’re SO excited to able to do that very soon. But, in the meantime, here’s a bit more of the “behind-the-scenes” of what we’re working on now.
Yes, that’s me with green paint all over my face as we work on testing for some special green-screen filming we’re doing. We can’t wait for you to see the finished product!
Well, we better get back to our wild adventure of filming, editing, and more. Until next time, remember to give thanks to the Lord who allows us all to serve him each and every day in various ways as he “gives to all mankind life and breath and everything” (Acts 17:25).
P.S. Ask your parents to help you check out Building Blocks with a free 7-day trial of Answers TV.
