The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork (Psalm 19:1).

God created the sun to give light on the earth during the day, the moon to shed light during the night, and the rest of the heavenly bodies to mark the seasons and signs. All of the many billions of galaxies, each containing many billions of stars were created instantaneously as the infinite Creator spoke them into existence on the fourth day of that first week, 6,000 years ago.
