Jesus Christ is the only one in all of history who suffered death, was raised to life, and continues to live today. The Apostle Paul, who saw Jesus after his resurrection, wrote that “Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us” (Romans 8:34).

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Christian faith. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” (John 11:25). Paul also wrote that “if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins” (1 Corinthians 15:17)!

By studying the Bible, we can have confidence that Jesus rose from the dead and lives today. He offers eternal life with him in heaven to those who repent of their sins and trust in him as Savior and Lord (John 6:40).
