Summary: The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Romans. By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Paul revealed that God is holy and righteous. Because He is righteous and all men are sinners, God’s justice demands eternal punishment. And yet, by the power of the gospel, God vindicates His righteousness and provides forgiveness and eternal life to sinners through the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Paul explained that all men are dead in their sins, and no one can be justified in God’s eyes by his own works. Rather, the just shall live by faith alone—and that faith is a gift from God.
About Jesus: The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.
