Summary: In this book, we see Habakkuk crying out to God asking, “Why?” Why was there such evil in the land? Why were God’s people suffering? Why were their enemies prospering? Through God’s answer, Habakkuk realized that God is God! He is good even when we don’t understand why bad things are happening. He is just and, at the same time, merciful. The wicked will be punished, and the righteous will one day see God’s justice.
About God: God is sovereign. He is always in control. And He is perfectly trustworthy in all circumstances. He calls His children to have faith in Him through all situations.
