On Sunday, my good friend Pastor Johnny Hunt (who spoke at our Answers for Pastors conference this past October) preached his last sermon at his church of 33 years, First Baptist Church Woodstock. He is moving from the pastorate to the position of senior vice president of mobilization and evangelism at the North American Mission Board. I know he has always had a heart for evangelism. We here at Answers in Genesis wish him well!
Pastor Johnny has been a wonderful and enthusiastic supporter of Answers in Genesis and has previously invited me to speak at his church in Georgia. This large church uses our Answers VBS program each year and, the first year they used it, Pastor Johnny shared,
Our VBS was the BEST ever this year as we used the Answers in Genesis material. What a difference it makes to make much of God's Word.
We’re thankful for his past and ongoing support as he moves into this new and exciting role. He has such a love for the gospel and desire to see the lost come to know Christ (a passion we share here at AiG, the Ark Encounter, and the Creation Museum)—I’m sure he will do well in his new role with the North American Mission Board. God’s richest blessings on Pastor Johnny, and his wife Janet, as they move into this new role.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
