Hey there, Creation Explorer!
Did you know Trevor and I are both Canadian? (Fun fact: Winston and Gilbert were both born in Canada, so they’re Canadian, but Felicity and Lois were born in the US, so they are Americans!)
Last year we had to return to Canada to wait for paperwork that lets me (Avery) work in Kentucky, where the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum are located. We’re still waiting for that, but we recently got to go back to Kentucky for a visit.
Of course, we had to go and ride the new carousel at the Ark Encounter and see the new fossil exhibit.
But the main reason we went down was another filming project. Did you know, in addition to Schus Off!, we have another kids show on Answers TV? It’s called Building Blocks, and it features me (Avery) and my friend Bryan Osborne. With this show, we’re teaching through the whole Bible with exciting object lessons, an interactive timeline, and lots of fun. We had already filmed Year 1 (Genesis) and Year 2 (Exodus–the Assyrian captivity), and during our trip, we filmed Year 3—all 34 episodes!
These videos go along with Answers in Genesis’ Answers Bible Curriculum for Homeschool, but you can watch them on their own. Year 1 and Year 2 are available exclusively on Answers TV, and Year 3 is coming in early 2023.
Trevor, together with members of AiG’s talented film crew, filmed all the episodes, and Trevor will edit them all.
It’s been so fun teaching through all of God’s Word (Year 3 ended with the second year of Jesus’ ministry and next year we will finish the whole Bible!). Trevor and I love helping kids like you understand God’s Word, and with Building Blocks we get to help you discover who God is, see Jesus in the Old Testament, understand why Jesus came and what he did, and so much more. It’s a huge blessing to get to do it, and we hope kids just like you will learn a lot (and have fun while you learn!).
Well, we’re off on another adventure (and we can’t wait to tell you about it—it’s a big one!). Until next time, we hope you’ll remember how awesome God’s Word is. “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12).
P.S. Ask your parents to help you check out Building Blocks on Answers TV.
