Hi! Welcome back to the Kids Answers magazine blog, where we answer your big questions about God’s Word and God’s world.
Building a snowman, sledding, having a snowball fight, making a snow angel . . . there are so many ways to enjoy the snow. But did you know snow only forms when conditions are just right?
Snow develops when the temperature in the clouds is below freezing. The water vapors (water in gas form) freeze into ice crystals. The ice crystals form around bits of dust and other particles in the clouds. Some of the ice crystals will clump together. Once the crystals get heavy enough, they fall to the ground.
When the ground is at or below freezing, snowflakes will stick without melting. That’s when we get to enjoy playing in the snow!
Do you have a question about God’s Word or his world that you want us to answer? Is there a topic you want to learn more about? Ask your parents to help you submit your question today. Watch for our answer here on the blog or in Kids Answers magazine. We’d love to hear from you!
