Baleen whales sing a song all their own.

Researchers from the University of Southern Denmark recently discovered that the whales produce their signature sounds with a special instrument—a uniquely shaped larynx. Unlike other animal larynxes that make noise with vibrating tissue, the baleen whale’s larynx sits beside a cushion of fat. When the whale breathes, air causes the cushion to vibrate and produce sounds.

This discovery is music to a Christian’s ears because we know that God is the composer behind the baleen whales’ unique instrument and song that allow them to communicate with one another.
