Are you looking for new ways to engage your children in the sciences? Check out the Explore Jr. (ages 5-10) and Explore Days (ages 11-18) programs at the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. These hands-on programs are not only a lot of fun but also include interactive activities, animal encounters, and behind-the-scenes tours. The classes change every year so your children can always learn new facts about your favorite science topics.
Explore Jr. (ages 5–10) is a three-hour program (9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) on a variety of topics like zoology (learning about animals), botany (learning about plants), fossils, forensics (kids get to be a detective!), and more. Each program is centered around one science topic and is packed full of activities to help students dive deeper into learning.
Explore Days (ages 11–18) is a three-hour program (9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) that includes hands-on application, experiments, visual presentations through the lens of the Bible. Explore Days include science themes such as astronomy, biology, chemistry, environmental science, forensic science, and many more. In this program, students may explore the microscopic world, observe the stars through professional telescopes, watch Mr. P (“star” of Unlocking Science) blow something up, or learn the secrets of forensic science.
Also consider the Explore Jr. 3-Day or Explore Science 5-Day summer camps for more opportunities for your children or group to participate in engaging science during the summer.
