Eva Wander

Hi! I’m Eva Wander. I am eleven years old and have one younger brother, Andy, who is nine. My dad is a geologist (a scientist who studies rocks), and my mom is a nature photographer. Their jobs take them all over the world, and since Andy and I are homeschooled, we get to travel with them. Some places we’ve recently visited include the Grand Canyon, Stonehenge, the Yukon Territory, Mammoth Cave, Dinosaur Ridge, Lake Superior, and Machu Picchu.

At each place, I learn something new about God’s Word or his world. Did you know God surrounded the earth with a magnetic field that protects us from harmful particles? When my family saw the northern lights in the Yukon Territory, Mom taught us that the northern lights are particles from the sun that collide with our atmosphere. If God hadn’t given our planet a magnetic field, those harmful particles would destroy the atmosphere and life on earth.

When I’m not exploring the world with my family, I enjoy reading, cooking, and playing Chickey Bop—a silly game I invented when I was seven.
