Hi! I’m Byron, and I’m a diabolical ironclad beetle. No, that doesn’t mean that I’m diabolical—it’s just the name of my species. I’m actually pretty harmless.
You might think I look different than most beetles, which is true. I live a lot longer too. That’s because of the special armor God designed me with! With my flat shape and strong, interlocking exoskeleton, I’m basically unsquishable—you can squeeze me, stomp on me, even run me over with a car, and I’ll be just fine.
Did you know God designed a special armor for you too? When you put on the armor of God—including the helmet of salvation to protect your thoughts and the shield of faith to block temptation—you can stand strong and unafraid against the enemy, Satan. Just like I’m not scared when someone steps on me, you don’t need to be afraid of anything the enemy attacks you with as long as you are wearing God’s armor. So hold up that shield of faith and be courageous!
