Summary: The Gospel of John is not like the other Gospels. It is not primarily a retelling of Jesus’ life and His actions. John had another purpose—to display Jesus’ identity as God. He began his Gospel with that truth stating, “the Word was God” (John 1:1). And John plainly explained the purpose of his Gospel in John 20:31, “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”
About Jesus: Jesus is the only way, the only truth, and the only life. Sinners are redeemed through Him alone.
