Archaeologists found fragments of Dead Sea scrolls in a cave about 25 miles south of Jerusalem, likely hidden during a Jewish revolt against Rome about 100 years after Jesus’ life. Discovering ancient biblical texts can help us see how these original texts compare to previous texts, show us that the truth hasn’t changed, and improve our understanding of challenges with modern translations. Such finds should thrill our hearts with God’s preservation of his Word through believers in the early church and throughout the centuries, even today.
