Scientists recently detected trace amounts of the gas phosphine in the atmosphere of Venus. For evolutionists, this gas is a promising hint of life on another planet, since here on earth phosphine is thought to be produced from decaying organic matter. However, three further studies have now failed to detect any evidence of phosphine in Venus’ atmosphere.

Though secular scientists are desperately searching the universe for evidence to support their belief that life may have evolved elsewhere, the Bible says that planets, stars, and other astronomical bodies were created “for signs and for seasons, and for days and years” (Genesis 1:14). As biblical creationists, we don’t expect to find life elsewhere in the universe, since Scripture tells us that God specially created earth to support life. We won’t find the truth about the origin of life by searching the solar system—we find it in God’s Word, right at our very fingertips.
