Designed Not to Fly

This issue shares some of the amazing designs of flightless birds. Kids will learn:

  • Although they don’t fly, cassowaries can jump from a standing position 5 feet (1.5 m) into the air, and ostriches can run nearly 45 miles (70 km) per hour.
  • Emperor penguins’ wings are so strong they can break human leg bones with one swipe!
  • God designed every individual with a unique combination of skills to bring Him glory.
