Hello, Time Travelers! Just like our animal pal Sergeant the St. Bernard seeks and saves the lost, Jesus seeks and saves those who are spiritually lost. God sent his son, Jesus, to earth as a tiny baby to save us, just as he promised.
In the beginning, Adam and Eve sinned (disobeyed God’s command). Since that time, every person has been born a sinner. We all disobey God’s commands. The punishment for sin is death, and when we die, we are separated from God in a terrible place. The good news is that God sent his Son because he loves the world and wanted to save us from our sin. In his great love, perfect Jesus chose to take the punishment for our sin as he died on the cross. He rose from the dead on the third day! Through Jesus, God provided a way for us to have fellowship with him again. He offers us eternal life with him in heaven. When we repent of our sin (say we are sorry and turn from it) and believe in Jesus, we can receive the gift of eternal life with Jesus forever! Jesus always has been and always will be ready to love and forgive those who truly want to become his children!
