God’s creativity is on display everywhere—even flitting from tree to tree in your backyard and flying high above your house. We’re talking about birds! From bright yellow goldfinches to vivid red cardinals, birds come in all sizes and colors.

Birdwatching is a great way to enjoy God’s creation and to glorify him by admiring what he has made. You don’t have to own a pair of binoculars, but you do need patience. You might have to wait a while before you see a bird. Try taking a walk or sitting in front of a window. You can encourage birds to come to your yard by hanging up a feeder.

These birds commonly visit backyards across the US. With an adult’s help, see how many of these feathered friends you can identify.
