The Creation Museum Restaurant Is Evolving (And Other Updates)

The kitchen for our restaurant at the Creation Museum is evolving! Well, that’s the correct use of that word. Yes, we’ve added a lot of new top-of-the-line equipment to upgrade the kitchen. And our talented and dedicated culinary teams are excited!

This new equipment will help our crew be more efficient, serve our guests faster, and produce a high-quality food product. One of these pieces of equipment is a Convotherm maxx pro, a dual convection and steam oven. Also, we’ve installed a new grill for hamburgers that’s all automatic and grills perfect, consistent hamburgers in a much shorter time.

Many people determine the quality of a facility based on the condition of the restrooms and the quality and type of food served at the restaurants. Our guests rave over the cleanliness of our restrooms and the entire facility. And although our food quality has always been high, this upgrade takes our kitchen and restaurant to a whole new level (and just in time for our stunning Christmas lights and programs at both attractions, which will begin after Thanksgiving).

Upgrades for the Aoudads

Do you know what an aoudad is? It’s also called a Barbary sheep. These members of the sheep/goat kind (caprine kind) can scale steep hillsides with surprising agility and speed. And we have aoudads at Ararat Ridge Zoo at the Ark Encounter. Recently our staff spent time upgrading the habitat we have for these amazing animals.

We have a wonderful collection of animals at the Ararat Ridge Zoo—and an enclosure you can walk through to experience our kangaroos.

By the Container Load: Behind the Scenes of Our Warehouse

The books and curricula distributed by Answers in Genesis and the fair trade items for sale at the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum arrive by the container load. In the photos below, you can see a container that brought 43 pallets, which is 22 tons (44,000 pounds), of books that won’t last long in our inventory. Also there’s a photo of a delivery of baskets from Africa. We sell an enormous number of fair trade items that greatly help underprivileged people around the world.

There’s no doubt the amount of resources that comes into our warehouse and leaves on a daily basis keeps our hard-working warehouse and shipping team busy! And all these books and curricula impact millions of people with the truth of God’s Word and the saving gospel.

Yes, between our daily ministry operations and attractions upgrades, there’s so much going on at AiG, the Creation Museum, and the Ark Encounter. Plan a visit soon (or for Christmas) at ArkEncounter.com and CreationMuseum.org.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
