As the US gets closer to its election next year, the political climate is sure to heat up, particularly around the polarizing issue of abortion.
These stories need to be told—especially as some states are enacting legislation to limit aid to a baby who has survived an abortion attempt!
This week, Gov. DeSantis of Florida mentioned the horrors of failed and late-term abortion, naming an abortion survivor, “Penny.” While some have accused DeSantis and “Penny” of lying about her story, another abortion survivor, Melissa Ohden, founder and CEO of Abortion Survivors Network, has said that she is planning a September campaign called “Babies Survive Abortions Awareness Month” to address misconceptions and “refute the notion that ‘Abortions don’t fail’ and ‘There’s no such thing as an abortion survivor.’”
