Why Attend a “Creation College”?

What is a “creation college”? It’s a post-secondary Christian school that takes a stand on creation, a young earth, and a global flood. We encourage students who are looking to attend a Christian school to choose a “creation college”—why?

Many colleges, while claiming to be Christian, are deeply compromised with the world’s ideas, teaching all the same philosophies, just adding some Scripture (often misquoted) to the class.

Well, because not all Christian schools are “created equal,” so to speak. Many colleges, while claiming to be Christian, are deeply compromised with the world’s ideas, teaching all the same philosophies, just adding some Scripture (often misquoted) to the class. Other schools are less compromised, but that can be even more insidious—a mix of truth and error that makes it harder to discern what is true and what is not.

Many of these colleges teach evolution and millions of years as fact, teaching their students to reinterpret the Bible in light of man’s ideas about the past. But that’s not teaching young people to know and trust God’s Word. It’s teaching them to view themselves as the authority over God’s Word, changing it to match our culture’s ever-changing ideas. It’s a dangerous path of compromise that eventually leads to more compromise. God’s Word never changes, but man’s word changes continually.

So that’s why we encourage students to be diligent about what school they choose—and we want to help with that! That’s why we offer a free Creation College Expo each year in the Answers Center at the Ark Encounter. This year’s event, designed for students in grades 7–12, is taking place November 3–5 and includes free admission to the expo, free admission to the Ark Encounter for registered students (and a discount for family members), discounted Creation Museum admission (along with a family discount), a free T-shirt, and free teaching sessions from Bill Jack of Worldview Academy and AiG’s Patricia Engler, Bryan Osborne, Tim Chaffey, and me.

If you’re considering attending college, don’t miss this incredible, free event. Check out our list of participating schools, along with our partner hotels, and register today at our events page. Please note that although this is a free event, students need to register to attend.

Answers for Educators VIP Experience

Oh, and if you’re a teacher or administrator at a K-12 Christian school, you’ll want to make plans to attend this expo too, because new this year, we’re offering a special Answers for Educators VIP Experience during the college expo. During this red-carpet experience, you’ll learn about the educational opportunities that Answers in Genesis has to offer, including our hands-on science programs and our coming Christian school Bible curriculum. Special promotions and giveaways will take place, and lunch is included. This event is also free, but registration is limited, so be sure to secure your spot right away.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
