We are just over two months into the new year. Many families, back in January, made a New Year’s resolution to study the Bible or do family devotions together. If that was you and your family, but the resolution hasn’t happened yet or hasn’t happened consistently, don’t worry—you can always start (or restart) today! And we have a great resource to make it easy for you to study the first chapters of Genesis together as a family.
Creation to Babel: A Commentary for Families is a book I’m so excited about. For years I’ve wanted to write an easy-to-understand commentary for the whole family on the first eleven chapters of Genesis (the foundational chapters of the whole Bible and Christian doctrine), and it’s finally available—again (the first printing sold out!).
This commentary is devotional in tone, answers most of the questions I’ve been asked about Genesis over 40 years of ministry, highlights the gospel and Jesus Christ from Genesis 1, teaches theology, and more. It’s a great way to get a thorough understanding of these important chapters of Scripture and equip your family with answers, theologically and scientifically, to attacks on the truth and authority of God’s Word from the very first verse. And remember: Genesis 1–11 is the foundation for everything!
Family time studying God’s Word together is a wonderful way of discipling your children of all ages—I encourage you to consider adding it to your daily routine. We pray Creation to Babel will be an excellent resource for you to do just that (we’ve already heard from so many families who have been blessed by reading through this book and Genesis 1–11 together).
You can find Creation to Babel at AnswersBookstore.com.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
