With the kids (or your grandkids) at home due to the current COVID-19 situation, and with social media and all news outlets covering this pandemic around the clock, I’m sure that almost everyone, including even younger kids have heard of the outbreak and may have hard questions.

You want to give them solid biblical authority-based answers.

So how do you handle topics like death and suffering for younger children? You want to be sensitive and to break things down into language they can understand. But most important, you want to give them solid biblical authority-based answers. So where can parents or grandparents (or aunts and uncles too) go to get answers that are targeted for younger kids? Well that’s an easy question to answer—AiG’s unique Kids Answers website.

On the Kid’s Answers site you’ll find great resources like activities, videos, science experiments, and so much more. We even have some free online kids books. There are also hundreds of articles including many on the topic of death and suffering. In fact, I’m going to include the top 5 kid’s articles we have on those topics below.

Animal death can be a hard question to deal with, especially when one of our beloved pets dies. But this article explains where animal death started and why it happens today.

Being sick, of course, is not good. You can feel miserable and you may wonder why God allows sickness. Well, this fascinating article answers that question.

When we hear of a hurricane or tsunami on the news and we’re told how many people died or how many homes were destroyed, we may wonder why this happens. This article explains natural disasters from a biblical worldview.

In my homeland of Australia we call mosquitos, these vicious bloodsuckers, “mozzies”. Mosquito bites can itch and make your skin swell, and certain ones can also make you very sick. So why did God create “mozzies” anyways? Read this eye-opening article to find out.

When we watch a nature program on TV and see a lion chase down and catch a zebra, we feel really sad for that poor animal. Why do some animals have to kill other animals for food? This last article explains this from a biblical viewpoint.

So parents, grandparents, and kids, I encourage you to check out these excellent articles and all of the great resources found on our Kids Answers site. You’ll get answers to hundreds of your questions (and some which you hadn’t even thought of asking before!) from a biblical worldview.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
