Another Case of the Secular World Calling Good Evil

by Ken Ham

The fine creationist group Genesis Apologetics has created a new video series called Debunking Evolution “designed to challenge the claims made about evolution in High School textbooks, and discuss the evidence for creation.” But their series, coproduced by good friends of ours, is already making waves in the secular world.

Evidence Against Evolution

As part of their outreach to high school students, they will be handing out 126,000 wrist bands with the web address DebunkEvolution.com to direct young people to their website.

Well, the CEO of the company that printed the wristbands apparently wasn’t happy that his company printed them. “As the CEO . . ., he was pleased to receive a massive order for over a hundred thousand wristbands. But as a socially responsible entrepreneur, he was not pleased that the order, from a creationist ministry, was for wristbands saying ‘DEBUNK EVOLUTION.’” So he decided to donate $4,000 of the order to the National Center for Science Education, a pro-evolution, anti-AiG group that works to defend evolutionary teaching.

It’s sad that we live in a day when it’s considered “socially irresponsible” to teach young people that they were lovingly created in the very image of the Creator and that there’s real purpose and meaning in life. Instead in almost all government-run schools, they’re indoctrinated in the religion of naturalism and atheism—a religion that teaches that we’re just accidents, highly evolved animals, and that life has no ultimate purpose or meaning. Genesis Apologetics notes that this is similar to Isaiah’s warning, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20). So the CEO of the wristband company apparently wants students to be told they’re just animals in an evolutionary struggle—so eat, drink, and be merry, and when you die, that’s the end! So sad.

We’re in the midst of a spiritual battle for the hearts and minds of the next generation. Millions of young people are being indoctrinated with the religion of atheistic naturalism and are not being taught the problems with evolution. This pagan religion of our day is even protected in public schools and universities. Really, it’s now become the state religion of America!

We need to be bold in standing on God’s Word and sharing truth with the next generation. That’s why we built the Creation Museum and are completing the evangelistic Ark Encounter (opens July 7 south of Cincinnati). We want to impact hearts and minds for eternity as we fight this spiritual battle using God’s Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
