How many times have you heard people complain about the commercialization of Christmas? But can we ever make too much of Christ and the true message of Christmas?
At the Creation Museum in December, this will be our third year of offering a free live nativity, dramas, and a beautiful display of lights in our botanical gardens for what we call “Christmas Town: A Live Nativity at the Creation Museum.” But all of this comes with a cost to the ministry in order to reach out to the several thousand people who will come.
To help raise funds for this wonderful endeavor that was attended by over 17,000 people last year, the museum is hosting a dinner on Friday, December 3. The evening will include appetizers, rehearsal performances for Christmas Town, dinner with live music in the Palm Plaza downstairs, and then dessert and coffee in the Main Hall. Dr. Tommy Mitchell will be the moderator and host for the evening.
If you would like to be part of this ministry outreach to the community, the cost of the dinner is $100 per person. It is not only an opportunity to support this Christmas message to our tri-state region that surrounds the Cincinnati metropolitan area, but this would also make for a great night out with your spouse or friend—a chance to get a preview of the drama by the wisemen, an archaeologist at the nativity scene, and a soon-to-be announced third drama. Plus you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that the dinner will benefit our annual Christmas outreach to our region.
This is a limited-capacity offering, so if you are interested, call 888-582-4253 ext. 657 or email Christmastowndinner[at]creationmuseum[dot]org.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
