How Many Thousands Heard AiG Teaching This Past Week?

by Ken Ham

As we begin a new week, I thought it would be interesting to consider how many people were exposed to AiG teaching just this past week. When we do this, all we can do is to praise God for the way He is using AiG and the Creation Museum to reach thousands upon thousands of people—each week!

Creation Museum Visitors:

About 12,000 this past week (over 3,000 just yesterday)—bringing the total for this fourth year of operation (which began the day after this past Memorial Day) to around 100,000 visitors. In just under three years, we welcomed our one millionth visitor (this past May).

Defending the Faith Conference:

Almost 3,000 people attended the four-day event in Tennessee (plus many others that were attending other AiG teaching programs with our various speakers last week). See recent blogs on this event.

AiG’s Family of Websites:

Over 200,000 visits last week (we are averaging over 10 million visits a year—and growing) for www.answersingenesis.org, www.creationmuseum.org, etc.

VBS Program:

We obviously don’t know how many children were at a Vacation Bible School program this past week, but we know about 3,000 churches are using AiG’s VBS program this summer (not just in America but countries like Australia as well)—so multiple thousands of children are coming under AiG’s teaching through the VBS program The Egypt File.

Daily Radio Program:

Many tens of thousands each week listen to our daily Answers radio program on hundreds of stations across the USA and around the world. An outside consultant who did a radio effectiveness audit for us calculated that this program results in over 640,000 impressions per week (around 33.3 million impressions per year). You can check our listing on our website. Various AiG speakers/researchers do interviews/talk shows on a variety of media outlets each month.

News Reports:

Recently I blogged about the various media that had conducted AiG interviews (print, TV, or radio) or published news reports—many thousands read and watch such media reports. We are interviewed by media, or media visit the Creation Museum, on a weekly basis.

Answers Magazine:

With over 72,000 subscsribers (see yesterday’s blog), a digital and print version, affiliated websites (including a children’s website), and subscribers in 120 countries, we just don’t know how many thousands are influenced by this publication each week.

And who knows how many thousands were watching AiG videos, reading various AiG resources or using AiG curricula in Home School, Church or at other places last week. I had a blog post recently where I told about a Master Books display at a Christian Booksellers exhibit in which they featured books I was author, coauthor, or editor and they found since they took over Master Books from a previous owner, 1.8 million of such publications had been distributed. And then there are all of the other publications by many different authors—multi-millions total in print.

All told, we can conservatively say that well over 250,000 people received Bible-upholding teaching from AiG this past week! It might even be over half a million—especially because of radio and VBS and news reports about our ministry.

We do need to give all glory to our Creator God—to praise Him for the way He has called so many people to be a part of this ministry and to use it to reach so many lives with the truth of God’s Word and most importantly with the message of the saving power of the gospel.

Now we also need to mention that we also get a lot of opposition for what we do—from the world (which is to be expected) and also (sadly) from within the church. However, I believe our response to all of this should be one like David as he sang in Psalm 108:

1 O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

2 Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.

3 I will praise You, O LORD, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations.

4 For Your mercy is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the clouds.

5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, And Your glory above all the earth;

6 That Your beloved may be delivered, Save with Your right hand, and hear me.

7 God has spoken in His holiness: “I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem And measure out the Valley of Succoth.

8 Gilead is Mine; Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for My head; Judah is My lawgiver.

9 Moab is My washpot; Over Edom I will cast My shoe; Over Philistia I will triumph.”

10 Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom?

11 Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies?

12 Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless.

13 Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
